THE COST
Annual Subscription.
The Annual Subscription for the year 2008 is £636. This is irrespective of the size of the boat. If you join during the year you will pay 75%, 50% or 25% of this figure depending on whether you joined in the second, third or fourth quarter. If you should leave during the year we also refund part of your subscription depending on the quarter in which you leave.
Entrance Fee
In addition to the Annual Subscription we also ask new members to pay a one-off Entrance Fee of £600. This is in recognition that you are enjoying the facilities built up over past years paid for by previous members. We use the income from Entrance Fees to further develop the facilities on the moorings.
Other costs.
There are none. Enjoy!
Restrictions-didn't you just expect it.
Unfortunately, as we said earlier, not all our moorings are able to take 40ft boats and those that can are in great demand. Recognising this, we have a club rule which limits new members to a maximum boat length of 10 metres for the first two years.
How to join.
Contact the secretary, Keith Goodman, on 0115 9726590 or send him an email dmbc@keithgoodman.com and he will send you an Application Form. You can also print one out from this website. Complete it and return it to him. Within a few days you will be invited down to the moorings to meet the Flag Officers and, after approval by the Council, you will be able to join us at Sawley. If you wish to visit the moorings before making a formal application please contact the secretary on the above number and he will arrange for a visit. He will be also be pleased to answer any questions.
